Gail
had
the opportunity to make a career change 4 years ago after she sold
her restaurant business. She decided to pursue a career in yoga, a
field that she was personally passionate about. She initially got into
yoga for the physical workout but soon learned that it had so much
more to offer. She has gone on to study yin and meridian yoga and is
continuing her studies in yoga therapy. Gail’s classes are a nice
gentle vinyassa flow focusing on increasing flexibility, building
strength, and finding that inner calm.
Jerry
Jerry has practiced yoga since 1995 when it was suggested as an antidote to a bad back. His yoga practice quietly became a passionate part of his life. After studying/practicing at Barbara Benagh's Yoga Studio on Beacon Hill during the 90's, he became a certified Kripalu teacher in 1997! “Absolutely, the best thing I've ever done for myself.” Jerry focuses his classes on the fundamentals of the postures and developing strength and ease. While moving slowly and building to longer holds, individuals experience the different stages of the postures. He credits Barbara Benagh as the biggest influence in his teaching style. Although moderate level classes each class is blended to offer something for everyone. In addition to DragonFly, Jerry is associated with Yoga at the Rivers Edge and continues to lead a variety of open & private classes as well as workshops on the South Shore.

Linda
I started practicing yoga on a regular basis 3 years ago
after hurting my back.I had been
a weight lifter for years, but due to this injury I was unable to continue with
that regimen.Not wanting to end
my fitness routine, I investigated the new yoga studio that had opened down the
street. It didn’t take me long to
get hooked.I loved everything I
was learning about this ancient science of combining mind, body and breath to
promote a healthy well-being.It
got to a point where I wasn’t learning things fast enough, so I decided to take
the teacher training program.This
was a life changing experience for me. I loved everything I learned and was amazed by all the
different paths yoga can lead me on.I am
thrilled to be able to share with friends, family, and the community the
wonderful benefits of yoga.My
life is 100% better now that I have yoga in it.I also enjoy sailing, gardening, cooking, sewing, reading,
biking, and playing with my grandsons.
